Walking and Bird watching

You will never be short of opportunities for walking from easy strolls to serious hiking. The Forest of Bowland A.O.N.B. has it all. Plus easy access to the Ribble Valley, Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales.

For wildlife walking there is Bowland Wild Boar Park, Beacon Fell Country Park and Gisburn Forest the largest forest in Lancashire with a network of forest walks and cycle trails.

Bird watchers and nature lovers will never be disappointed at every turn there will be some thing to see. The Forest of Bowland is famous for its Hen Harriers and also Peregrine Falcons and Buzzards can be seen.

You will also be with in easy reach of the Morecambe bay area for waders.
